Act 1 Scene 6

Characters: Duncan, Malcolm, Donalbain, Banquo, Lenox, Macduff, Rosse, Angus and attendants

Location: A room in the castle

Events: Duncan arrives and everyone acts very nice to him. Macbeth then decides that he will not murder his friend ad he states this in form of a soliloquy. In the middle of this soliloquy about how he will not murder Duncan his wife (Lady Macbeth) interrupts and yells at him that he will in fact murder Duncan. She sways Macbeth and they decide that they will continue with the murder.

Quote: “How tender ‘t is to love the babe that milks me: I would, while it was smiling in my face, have plucked my nipple from his boneless gums, and dashed the brains out, had I so sworn as you have done to this.”
