Act 3 Scene 2

Characters: Lady Macbeth, a servant and Macbeth

Location: A room in the palace

Events: Lady Macbeth reflects that, although they have got what they want, they are not happy and Macbeth feels that there are still dangers threatening them. Macbeth expresses his fears concerning Banquo and Fleance and hints that something terrible is about to happen but does not tell Lady Macbeth.

Quote: “O! full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife!”

Meaning/ Context: This quote means that Macbeth’s state of mind is not in a very good place. He is disgusted by his actions and afraid someone will discover what he has done.
